Barry Be Good

I’ve been meaning to open up a part-time business that would involve me sewing my own clothes (not necessarily my own designs) and selling it online. I’ve been looking at recreating vintage fashion pieces as well as coming out with my own collection of swimwear. Although most of it is just an idea or an i-want-to-but-i-don’t-know-where-to-start kind of thing, I’m doing some research already.
For starters, I’m probably purchasing a second-hand Singer sewing machine by this week. Although as to how and where I’m getting the money is a different matter altogether. So for the next couple of days, I’ll be drawing up a business plan to make sure that if I do get this sewing machine, that I would really keep up to my word and focus on the task at hand.
Another thing is, if I do manage to get this online business running, I would probably have to move from a free blogsite to something more professional like, say Good Barry. WordPress is impressive but seeing that I’d have to get a server of my own, plus a website designer, and a domain, it might be too costly. Good Barry, however, seems to have everything I would need to make an online business work. The pricing is a bit too steep, especially for a start-up such as myself, but if I do manage to grow my business, I would probably consider them as my online business partner by letting them host the online shop.
For now, I should concentrate on acquiring the skill, materials, and the capital to start this business. I have a good feeling about it though. I just need to put my heart in it and dive right in. If anyone has tips and suggestions on how I can go about this, please do let me know.
