If you, like me, haven’t been to Orchard much lately then you would have completely missed the mural done by Kongo. His explosive work aptly titled “Graffiti made by hand” kicked off Voilah! French Festival Singapore 2011′s “Off the Wall” urban art festival.

Thankfully, we haven’t missed out on all of the action. Kongo will be returning to Singapore for the opening of the Hermès store at Scotts Square on Friday, 9th December. We will be treated to Kongo’s custom graffiti name tags which he’ll be creating on site. Guests will also have the chance to be captured inside the “Graff Hermès” carré designed by Kongo for the Fall/Winter 2011 collection.

Yep, nothing like an email from Hermès to break me out of the writing rut, not to mention my hermit tendencies too. I better be getting down to Orchard, and so do you. See you then!

Hermès began collaborating with Kongo to present dynamic urban art around the world, which started with the Hermès store at Hong Kong airport and more recently, in Berlin and Barcelona. Hermès also supports “Kosmopolite”, the international festival of graffiti co-founded by Kongo.
