the blog

When I started nikipaniki.com four years ago it had been for different reasons. Now it has evolved to be more than just a blog. Though still a work in progress, it hopes to be shaped into being with a bit of SPIT or stories that are surprising, practical, inspiring, and occasionally tantalizing. Hey, I once heard that by the age of twenty we have enough stories to last us a lifetime. Guess we’ll find that out soon enough.

I have to be honest and tell you that I’m not really sure how to write stuff like this. I’ve got so many other stuff lying around online though and I’ve pooled some of them together at nikitorres.com. While not determining of my full character and personality, these are great starters. Of course there’s this site too. Stick around and knock yourselves out. Maybe we’ll become good friends.

Why We Lomo

In a highly digital age, there are people who enjoy the technologies of decades past. You can count on the analog photography enthusiasts to keep film alive and the idea of a darkroom brighter. Whether a seasoned pro or a doe-eyed newbie, these are their stories.  New profiles every fortnight on Tuesdays.

The MOB *coming soon*

The Midnight Oil Burns are stories of people who spend their days and nights working on their passion—be it a sport, a hobby, or a business. These are people who have responsibilities for a better part of the day yet are dedicating their free time to do what they love and aspire to do. New profiles every first Friday of the month starting August 2012.

What’s Up

Instead of a nudge how about we’ll do it town crier style complete with pretty pictures, side comments, and a pocket full of posies. If you have your ears to the ground, you might as well share. You know where to reach me.

Fancy That

We live in a stimulating world with fleeting flights of fancy. Here’s an attempt to chronicle that madness to keep our sanity in check.

Something to Read

There are things that are just too good not to share. With a book in my bag and an RSS reader full to the brim with content, there’s bound to be something that’ll be worth your coffee break time.

Out and About

After living like a hermit for years, it’s time to shake the snow off my boots and come out. Want proof of those rare times where I meet and socialize with fellow humans? You got it.

Features

Currently being run by my good friend Phillip. He resides in The Netherlands and is busting his chops to get his writing out. All hail Phillip!
