This is probably the most exciting thing that ever happened to me this weekend. Yes, this photo above. I haven’t done anything creative for a long long while and I kind of missed it. This was, of course, purely unplanned but I’m happy that I did what I did. Now I just need to wait for my M&M’s sponsorship to kick in. Ha!

Another good thing to note is that my hermit days are starting to take over me again. The past few weeks — dare I say it? — months of partying and drinking has got me exhausted in more ways than one. It is by far the most uncharacteristic of things I could possibly do and nothing fruitful has come out of it at all. No regrets though, at least I’ve dipped my toes into it and I could safely say that that kind of lifestyle is unsustainable and something that I wouldn’t want to get engrossed in. This time I’ll be more picky about where to go and, this is important, WHO I’m going to do it with. As a true introvert, though often mistaken for being otherwise, I need that close circle of friends. Without a “support” group I feel desolate and desperate.

In happier news, I’m back to being a health and exercise buff. All this lying around on my bed all day watching episode after episode of Gilmore Girls and munching on fast food has got to stop. Well ever since this week I’ve gotten back on my peanut butter sandwich diet which already helped banish the 3-month pregnant looking belly that I was carrying around and I’ve successfully gotten back to Pilates. I’ve even gone on to do table push-ups while watching tv shows, which sadly has made my arms feel like they are going to drop off any moment now. No pain, no gain.

Anyway it was fun being the poster child for couch potatoes for awhile but after seeing old photos of myself I realized how much I’ve grown and I want to get my body back. Speaking of old photos, that also reminded me that I’ve been in Singapore for two years now! Time to grow up in the right way, missy.

I realize that I watch entire seasons of television shows on weekends coupled with a few full-length movies. I think I ought to spend some of that on mastering my Spanish and to finally tackle art history.

Thus, beginning this weekend and the weekends to follow, I’m turning 3pm to 6pm as study hall, aka The Golden Hour. I’m spending 90 minutes each on both topics and hopefully, I get to talk about art while speaking in Spanish. Haha, okay too crazy. But you know what I mean.

*Golden Hour is loosely related to the photography term, therefore it does not necessarily mean an hour but rather illustrates a period of time. Just sayin’.

I once thought I wanted to be an interior designer.

That dream blew up into smoke when I realized I had little to no ounce of design in me. To be honest, even my appreciation of design is solely based on feeling and intuition.

Well, that’s exactly why I was so tickled by this Troels Grum-Schwensen and Aksel Kjergaard collaboration.

I don’t know about you but I can imagine what kind of an exercise I’d get when I try to share a slice of warm chocolate cake on this. It’ll probably help me burn calories as I go along consuming them. If you think about it, it makes for a good excuse to have more cake, isn’t it?

Anyway, description for this piece reads:

Narrow margins have been set for the negotiations at the Copenhagen Climate Change Summit. A lack of mutual openness will have consequences … A balancing act…

This is all in part of The Cabinetmaker’s Autumn Exhibition 2009: DIALOGUE – A Chair That Is Up for Negotiation that “takes its point of departure in the 2009 climate change summit, COP15, where the world leaders are tasked with achieving improvements on the 1997 Kyoto Protocol.” There’s a lot of other good designs so click that link above. And if you’re still itching for more, you may want to check out 27 Years of Creativity at Yatzer.

Ever since I’ve added more site feeds to my reader, and recently moving all of them to NetNewsWire (Google Reader sync feature FTW!) I have had my nose stuck on trying to go through 500+ unread posts everyday. That’s a lot of reading material but I live through these stuff.

Anyway, I’m a big fan of mustaches. Random, I know but whatever.

I always pretend I have one either by using my real hair or drawing it on photos. I don’t know why but mustaches, though not entirely sexy, are quite enigmatic.

David’s been kind enough to allow me to post this piece of work I’ve done of him a few weeks ago. What do you think?

Well today I’ve been looking at a lot of mustache-related posts and I think I might want to try my hand at some merchandise or making a fake one like this from Simply Mom or this wearable one by 5 Orange Potatoes or this awesome bookmark from Cut Out + Keep.

One of these days I must have a mustache themed birthday party, yeah?

So who’s with me?

***Mustachio is mustache + pistachio. Just saying.
