Shoe Splurge

And the biggest to date.

Actually, I’m only talking about the third shoe in this series as the first two are reasonably priced–if not dirt cheap, even.  However, I don’t think this will be a bad thing considering that they’re the most comfortable pair ever.  Yes, probably even more comfy than my Chucks, which is why I couldn’t resist buying them despite a hefty price tag (almost 267% more than the price of the other two combined).

Oh fudge, these shoes are love!

P.S. I foresee a cut on my dining budget for the next two weeks. Guess that also means hermit mode is still on for November. Also, if you look closely, I have jean marks on my leg. Haha.

Weekend Shirt

Apart from the classic white shirt that I love to wear on the weekends, I have this oversized, striped navy blue top that I seem to fancy a lot too.  It’s perfect for the afternoons when it’s warmer outside and when I don’t feel like wearing a tank top.

the weekend shirt

This weekend has been very relaxing because I’ve decided to be a hermit and just stay indoors and watch movies.  I revisited Batman Begins and will be revisiting The Dark Knight in the morning.  Nolan is an awesome director/storyteller.  Actually, now that I think about it, I watched another of Nolan’s films, Memento, the week before.

Anyway, some happy tunes before the weekend comes to a close. Avoir un bon dimanche les garçons et les filles!

Je Ne Te Connais Pas by Prototypes

On Cuffed Jeans

I don’t know about you but I’ve been rolling up jeans (and just about all my shirt sleeves) because, well, I really don’t know. I guess it’s just that time in my life where I want everything a bit shorter. Besides, along with the comeback of tapered pants, rolling them up seems like a good way to change the look of any pants you have without having to resort to cutting or buying a new one. I know, rolling pants up seems like the excuse of the broke (or the fabulous, you decide).

I'm all about the cuffed jeans

On that note, I’ve had someone comment on the length of how I roll my jeans up.  I’m not sure there is a logic behind it, although I did try explaining.  Ultimately it’s just the person wearing it who should be comfortable.  Any higher I’d feel like my legs were pudgy.  Longer, I’d feel like I’m shorter.  To be honest, this length works so well for me mainly because I love where it ends, which is in the middle of my shins.  Others think it’s at a weird length but it works or at least I think it works.

Well, what do you think?  I know my photo sucks but let’s focus on the jeans, ok?  And if you need more fashionable references (I had to scour for this one) you can check out Maya below as featured in Street Peeper cos she mostly resembles whatever semblance of a style I might have and, of course, because she’s sporting cuffed jeans in almost the same length as I usually wear them.
