Archived entries for Work

Reading List: 19.07.10

This comes way long overdue.  Still, I think these deserve some eyeballs.

Recursive Dreaming

A first or, to be more precise, perhaps the first I vividly remember.  Although you know how dreams operate, the more you try to remember the more it fades in memory.  It’s probably a lame kind of nightmare too — now that I think about it — but it sure made me feel horrible.  I mean, I go on a vacation and midway through that I realize I hadn’t really filed for leave and therefore, had all of my work unsupervised.  Don’t know if that makes me a sad, poor girl or what.  I think I’ve been daydreaming about going on vacation for days on end and the fact that I’ve been swamped with work — well put two and two together and that’s what you get.  Then again, it is Labor Day.

OMG Please Indulge Me

I finally made it onto Ricebowl Journals‘ (RBJ) Consider Yourself Quoted list!  It’s one of those lists I’ve been eyeing for years now after being part of the community for, I believe, 6 years already.  I remember back in 2003 I was looking for interesting blogs to read and found myself going through RBJ’s blog directory.  I’ve found really awesome bloggers there whom I eventually became friends with and whom I still consider blogger rockstars in their own respects.

Anyway, I once made it into the quotable-but-not-quite-quotable section which I thought was supposed to get me the coveted “Q” beside my profile.  But – alas! – I only got to relive the glorious day through a screen capture, especially now that this section is already defunct.

Ha! It’s quite awesome, really, to finally be able to make it into the list.  It’s all very random I suppose, on being quoted.  I’m sure there are hell of a lot of other people more worthy of being on the list but let’s not ruin this moment, mm-kay?

One thing I noticed though, I tend to talk about my feet a lot – burnt foot then, sore foot now.
